Our much loved Tinted Day Cream formulation has now been improved. The slight changes have improved the consistency, application and spreading properties, with a small change in the aroma to a sense soothing light floral. We have preserved the essential care properties of the Tinted Day Cream. The colour that magically suits everyone’s skin tone has remained the same as has the price. Really it’s the same great product, just better!

  • Enjoy a naturally beautiful evened complexion with Dr. Hauschka’s original BB Cream, Tinted Day Cream.
  • The new optimised formula offers skin nourishing care while also giving your skin a natural, sun-kissed glow.
  • Blends harmoniously with individual skin tones to add a delicate bronzing effect.
  • Richly moisturising, combining nourishing Avocado and Almond oils with protective Rose Wax, Beeswax and Quince Seed extract.
  • Helps prevent dryness and dehydration by balancing the skin’s oil and moisture levels and supporting its natural moisturising functions.
  • Rose, Quince and St. John’s wort tone the skin and support elasticity
Rose Water and extracts of Anthyllis have a balancing, harmonising effect.
  • As we age often our skin becomes a little pallid, it’s uplifting to add warm tones back into your skin for a youthful effect.

TIPS

1) For a particularly dry, dehydrated or mature skin, we also recommend Revitalising Day Cream or Rose Day Cream under Tinted Day Cream. For added coverage, use our Foundation, which may be used over Tinted Day Cream.

2) To reduce shine, we recommend applying Translucent Face Powder after moisturiser. May also be applied over Tinted Day Cream as well.

What our Customers are saying…

Used it before they reformulated it and I loved it then. I love it even more now! Much lighter, you barely need a pea size amount for your face. Gives you that perfect even toned glow. No makeup necessary!
Monet M | My skin condition is: Dry | Age: 25-39

Want to look younger? I have been using Toned (now Tinted) Day Cream for 13 years. I love the glow and the fact that there is nothing fake about how it looks. No caking, or make-up line. Most people will not know you have this product on your face and yet it reduces the look of fine lines and moisturises at the same time. It’s my go to.
Karen S | My skin condition is: Combination | Age: 50-65

Love it! It leaves my face moisturised all day and now that winter is around the corner, it really does give you a sun kiss glow. Highly recommend it!
Priscilla V | My skin condition is: Normal | Age: 25-39

What’s a BB Cream?

Screen Shot 2014-12-29 at 9.33.20 am

Are you confused about what is a BB, CC or DD Cream?

BB stands for ‘Blemish Balm’ or ‘Beauty Balm’ and provides both colour and care in the one product.  Before our time, plus natural and organic to boot, we’ve been offering this for years with our incredible Tinted Day Cream. The original BB Cream!

BB Creams are more than just a tinted moisturiser, they offer benefits such as helping to even out skin tone, disguising blemishes and redness, providing light coverage and protecting the skin.

FYI: CC means ‘Colour Corrector’ or ‘Complexion Corrector’ focusing on reducing redness and helping to even tone. DD means ‘Daily Defence’ which usually includes an SPF.

The warm colour of Tinted Day Cream magically suits any skin tone once applied to the skin, enhancing and giving a natural healthy glow.

  • Colour and care combined in one preparation
  • Richer in consistency than Revitalising Day Cream, less rich than Rose Day Cream
  • Offers extra protection for normal, sensitive, dry and mature skin conditions
  • Uplifts a mature skin by bringing warm tones into the complexion which may have become a little pallid
  • Hydrates and enhances the complexion with its sun-kissed warmth
  • Evens the tone of the skin, an alternative to make-up, or use under make-up for a warm toned base
  • Formulation: Mineral pigments blend imperfections and even skin tone while Quince Seed, Apricot Kernel and Beeswax balance oil and moisture content. Anthyllis and St. John’s wort support elasticity and soothe redness
  • It’s my ‘go to’ product in the weekend and on holiday

Note:  You may wish to useTranslucent Powder Compact or Translucent Powder Loose over Tinted Day Cream to matte your look.

Colour and Care

We also have a unique product, Translucent Bronzing Tint which is a semi-transparent bronze to enhance skin tone. Mix with your usual Dr. Hauschka Moisturiser in the palms of hands prior to application. You control colour intensity! Translucent Bronzing Tint also partners particularly well with Clarifying Day Oil for those with an oily skin. The best option for a Combination Skin with Oily T-zone is Melissa Day Cream with Translucent Bronzing Tint.

Foundation  provides our skin with colour and care.  Once you have made the decision to care for your skin with Dr. Hauschka natural and organic skin care it wouldn’t make sense to continue with conventional, petrochemical make-up.  ‘Set’ with Translucent Powder Compact or Translucent Powder Loose, which are formulated using real silk powder. I prefer Loose Powder and application with our beautiful Powder Brush.

Bronzing Powder is our worldwide top selling make-up product. Make-up artists love it because it’s matte.

Application Tip: Apply with a brush lightly to the face from the forehead down. Or with your fingers press out our Powder Brush into a fan shape. I do this on the left side of the face, then the right, then the centre.  Automatically the colour goes where the sun would touch, cheek bones, tip of forehead, nose and chin. Easy!

How to bring warm tones to your skin

Dr. Hauschka Decorate Cosmetic; Dr. Hauschka Dekorative Kosmetik
Dr. Hauschka International Make-up Artist, Karim Sattar

Adding warmth to your skin is an instant uplift!

We must add the colour back in after applying Foundation which evens your complexion, however looks flat without the addition of bronzer and/or blusher. Think of a child’s rosy cheeks.

  • Use our tinted moisturiser, Tinted Day Cream, ‘the original BB Cream’, which magically tones with all skin tones and adds sun-kissed warmth to your complexion. May be used on its own, with or without the addition of Translucent Powder or under Foundation.
  • Alternatively mix a little Translucent Bronzing Tint with your moisturiser, or with your Foundation.
  • Use matte Bronzing Powder on high points: cheeks, tip of nose and chin and also use down your neck if it needs it to tone in with your face.
  • Smile and apply Rouge Powder to the ‘apples’ of your cheeks.

Screen Shot 2015-07-28 at 9.03.40 am

As we mature our skin may become a little pallid so it’s important to bring the colour back in.

Tip: Complete by misting your skin with Facial Toner or Clarifying Toner to ‘fix’ your make-up and to give it a fresh, natural look.

Make-up Mistakes & How To Rectify Them

Screen Shot 2015-04-15 at 12.25.23 pm
Model is wearing Foundation 01, Concealer 01, Translucent Face Powder Compact, Bronzing Powder, Rouge Powder 02, Kajal Eyeliner 01, Eyeshadow Solo 03 and 04, Kajal Eyeliner Duo 01 White, Eyeliner Liquid Black, Volume Mascara Black, Lipliner 03, Lipstick Novum 10.

1) Using an incorrect foundation shade

When your face doesn’t match your neck.

Solutions: Have your colour matching professionally done in store, but always check in daylight not under store lights. Don’t use the back of your hand to check colour, use your jaw line. Alternatively follow Dr. Hauschka International Make-up Artist, Karim Sattar’s Top Application Tips & Tricks Video. I find a Foundation Blending Brush works well to ensure colour blends onto neck.

Tip: You’ll find Dr. Hauschka NEW Foundations much easier to colour match. If you need more warm tones in summer just add a little Translucent Bronzing Tint to your Foundation.

Translucent tip: You can also mix Foundation with your Dr. Hauschka Moisturiser for a translucent look or apply with a moist sponge.

Model is wearing Lipstick 15 Violet Marble

2) Dark lipliner with lighter lipstick

Solution: Ensure your lipliner matches your lipstick. Karim Sattar, Dr. Hauschka International Make-up Artist, recommends applying lip liner all over the lips simply because lipstick comes off and liner stays put and outlined lips are not what you’re looking for.

3) Blush that looks like racing stripes or no blush at all

Solution: Smile and apply blush lightly to the ‘apples’ of your cheeks. Always use a big Powder/Blusher Brush which is better at distributing colour, shake off excess, then apply. Your aim is to get subtle colour in your cheeks, think of a child’s cheeks. We often see a flat make-up, with no blusher or bronzer. It’s important for a youthful make-up to add the colour back in after applying Foundation and Powder.

Dr. Hauschka decorate Cosmetic; Dr. Hauschska Dekorative Kosmetik
Model’s lip colour is Lipliner 01 and Lipstick 04

4) Applying too much powder

Powder is important to set your Foundation for a longer lasting make-up, however, it looks caked if too much is used.

Solution: Use a large Powder Brush, tap off excess, then apply downwards to smooth down fine hairs. Finish with a spritz of Dr. Hauschka Toner which takes away a powdery look and also helps to set your make-up.

5) Applying Make-up too soon after Moisturiser

Or applying make-up to skin that hasn’t been cleansed, toned and moisturised.

Solution: Wait while your day care product absorbs into the skin. I do my morning regime of Cleansing Cream, Toner and Moisturiser then have breakfast and get dressed so my skin care has plenty of time to absorb. The aim is to apply your make-up evenly on clean, nourished and protected skin.

Dr. Hauschka decorate Cosmetic; Dr. Hauschska Dekorative Kosmetik
Model is wearing Kajal Eyeliner Duo 01 Anthracite, Eyeshadow Solo 07 and 09, Rouge Powder 03, Volume Mascara Black.

6) Clumpy Eyelashes

Never pump your mascara which forces air into the tube and dries out the formula.

Solution: Dr. Hauschka Mascara and Volume Mascara are made with nourishing ingredients such as Candelilla Wax, precious Damask Rose Blossom Wax and Beeswax. Remember all mascaras, natural and organic or otherwise should be replaced every 3 months. Pop a reminder in your phone when you purchase a new mascara for 3 months time.

Tip: Karim Sattar our International Make-up Artist recommends using a softer colour than black on bottom lashes, because you don’t want to enhance anything downward for a youthful make-up. Try Pearl Anthracite or Aubergine Volume Mascara, or Brown Mascara.

7) Eyeliner lines

Keep it softer during the day, apply eyeliner pencil to the outer 1/3rd and blend inwards, then set with eye shadow and an angled brush. Anthracite is a soft black which is flattering for a day time make-up.

10 Radiant Skin Tips and 10 Make-up Tips for the Bride

Screen Shot 2014-10-26 at 3.52.46 pm

1. Hydration for a plump, uplifted skin, drink water, coconut water, green tea, herbals teas, eat watermelon. Warm water and lemon juice first thing every morning helps to keep skin clear.

2. Schedule a monthly Facial Treatment with a Dr. Hauschka trained Esthetician.

Screen Shot 2014-10-26 at 12.22.17 pm

3. Remember Body Care, Hand and Nail Care and Foot Care too, especially if you’re wearing strappy shoes with heels on show. Moisturising is key and once you use Dr. Hauschka Body Moisturisers it’s hard to accept anything of lesser quality. Natural and organic ingredients are just as important for your body. We love Quince Body Moisturiser for its cooling, soothing and deeply hydrating qualities, Lemon Lemongrass Vitalising Body Moisturising for its refreshing and energising aroma and After Sun is another of our summer time favourites. For a mature bride then choose Regenerating Body Cream for its firming and toning as well as deeply nourishing abilities.

If your feet are dry, particularly check your heels, use Hydrating Foot Cream, however if you have feet with a tendency to perspire then use Deodorising Foot Cream. Hand Cream and Neem Nail Oil Pen are a must.

4. Kissable lips with regular use of Lip Care Stick or Lip Balm.

5. Clean your make-up brushes weekly to avoid acne causing bacteria and to ensure true colours. Always clean your brushes in an ecological gentle hand wash or body wash and dry flat not upstanding. As for pimples always have Coverstick on hand for concealing and treating, incredible product!

Screen Shot 2014-08-26 at 2.17.40 pm

6. Get your beauty sleep.

7. Regular exercise, 30 minutes daily in the fresh air will do. Movement supports your body’s lymph system.

8. Nutrition, eat fresh, organic wherever possible. Read 15 Top Foods for Healthy Skin

9. It’s really important to reduce stress. If you’re not already then meditate daily, do yoga, tai chi, read a great book, spend time with great friends, whatever it takes, as stress shows on your face.

10. We want your skin looking radiant for your big day. Ideally you need to be taking extra special care of your skin 1 year out, however if you don’t have that amount of time adopt these skin care rituals as soon as possible. A healthy, balanced, vibrant skin comes from using the highest quality natural and organic ingredients, not synthetic chemicals.

Screen Shot 2014-06-30 at 4.19.40 pm

Recommendations:

1) Dr. Hauschka every morning ritual: Cleanse, Tone or use Intensive Treatment & Moisturise
2) Dr. Hauschka every evening ritual: Cleanse, Tone or use 1 ampoule of Conditioner, or Intensive Treatment
3) Once a week, maybe a Sunday night, Cleanse, Clarifying Steam Bath, Clarifying Clay Mask and follow with Revitalising Mask which benefits all skin conditions
4) Another night of the week Cleanse early in the evening, apply Revitalising Mask and include eye contour area, leave to absorb for as long as possible and remove with a warm, moist cloth prior to bedtime

Tip: We recommend Soothing Intensive Treatment morning and evening instead of Toner one month out from wedding for hypersensitive skin or a skin suffering from any stress condition.

10 Wedding Make-up Tips

1. Do your brow, upper lip and any other facial waxing at least 3 days before the wedding
2. Avoid products that use SPF, they tend to give very pale look in photographs
3. Use a matte moisturiser on the day, Melissa Day Cream has a very matte finish and helps to control shine or Rose Day Cream Light
4. For a long lasting make-up go for our International Make-up Artist, Karim Sattar’s technique of:
a) Translucent Make-up 00 as a primer
b) Concealer, inner eye only, not outer eye
c) Translucent Powder Loose, applied with Powder Brush and tapped to remove excess before applying
d) Translucent Make-up in your shade, always apply with a foundation blender brush for that ‘air-brushed’ look
e) Translucent Powder again, applied with Powder Brush and tapped before applying. Think less is more, you don’t want a caked look.
5. Blusher and Bronzer is a must.
6. Take it easy on the shimmer. Highlight on cheek bones and/or brow bone is flattering but too much shimmer doesn’t photograph well
7. Set your lipstick with Karim’s technique:
a) Apply Lipliner over the entire lip area, don’t do outlines
b) Apply Lipstick
c) ‘Kiss’ a tissue to remove excess
d) Apply Translucent Powder Loose with the powder puff
e) Apply Lipstick again
f) Apply a dap of Rose or Cherry Gloss mid bottom lip
8. Consider false lashes rather than mascara for the big day. Individual lashes are more natural looking, but always trial before the wedding day
9. Have a Translucent Powder Compact with you for touch-ups. Oily shine doesn’t photograph well, you need to keep skin matte
10. Keep in mind if you’re wearing white you will need enough colour happening in your make-up to compensate for the whiteness of your dress. Always do a trial run of your make-up wearing white, tee shirt will do, prior to the day.

Pantone Fashion Colour Report Spring 2014

Screen Shot 2014-09-26 at 1.31.39 pm

Designers take a modern twist on the traditional for spring 2014 by pairing soft pastels with vivid brights to create a colourful equilibrium. Inspired by a mixture of blooming flowers, travels abroad and strong, confident women, designers use colour to refresh, revive and defy conventional wisdom.

“This season, consumers are looking for a state of thoughtful, emotional and artistic equilibrium,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Colour Institute®. “While this need for stability is reflected in the composition of the palette, the inherent versatility of the individual colours allows for experimentation with new looks and colour combinations.”

Pantone Spring Colors

Three very adaptable pastels sit on one end of the palette, and, because we are so accustomed to seeing them as nature’s background, they can be creatively combined with any other colour in the spectrum. Placid Blue, like a picture-perfect, tranquil and reassuring sky, induces a sense of peaceful calmness, while Violet Tulip, a romantic, vintage purple, evokes wistful nostalgia. Similar to the verdant shade of springtime foliage, Hemlock, a summery, ornamental green, provides a decorative touch that’s very different from the greens of recent seasons. Pair any of these versatile pastels with a bolder hue for an au courant look.

Sand, a lightly toasted and amiable neutral, conjures images of the beach and the carefree days of summer. Try pairing Sand with Hemlock for perfect, natural balance. Paloma serves as a quintessential neutral, interesting enough to be worn alone or combined with any colour for sophisticated poise.

Cayenne, a high-pitched red, adds a dash of spicy heat to neutrals, and heightens the excitement when mixed with Freesia, a blazing yellow that is sure to illuminate wardrobes this season. A tropical, floral-inspired shade, Freesia’s warmth and energy help set the stage for Celosia Orange, an optimistic, spontaneous hue. Pair Celosia Orange with Violet Tulip for a captivating vision, much like the setting summer sun.

The palette is brought full circle with Radiant Orchid, a bold counterpart to Violet Tulip, and Dazzling Blue, a scintillating, polar opposite to Placid Blue. Surprisingly, these strong, vibrant colors also pair well across the palette: They are perfect companions to pastels, and add confidence and vivacity when mixed with other bold colours.

For more than 20 years, Pantone, the global authority on colour, has surveyed the designers of New York Fashion Week and beyond to bring you the season’s most important colour trends. This report previews the most prominent hues for spring 2014.

Make-up Tips for a Sun-Kissed Day & Night Look

With Dr. Hauschka Bronzing Powder, happiness is always at hand
Inspire your smile and powder your face with sunshine
A sunny formula composed of silk powder, anthyllis, witch hazel,
sage
Colour and care for this complexion of mine

Make-up tips for a sun-kissed look

Our international Dr. Hauschka make-up artist, Karim Sattar, loves using Bronzing Powder to highlight the contours of the face and subtly emphasise areas such as the cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. Here are his make-up tips for creating a beautiful, sun kissed look.

Screen Shot 2014-09-22 at 4.22.07 pm

Every Day Glow 3 Minute Make-up

Complexion

Dip a brush in the Bronzing Powder and then tap it lightly on the back of your hand. Highlight the areas of your face that best catch the sun by dusting the powder onto your forehead, nose, chin and cheeks. Gently sweep the colour outwards using circular motions.

Eyes

Apply Eyeshadow 01 Golden Sand to your entire upper eyelid, gently blending it towards your eyebrows. Next, apply Eyeshadow 02 Golden Earth to just your eyelid crease to give your eyes some extra depth. Volume Mascara Black makes your eyes look wider for added sparkle. Only apply it to your upper lashes.

Lips

Apply Lipstick Novum 09 Miraculous Rose to your lips to perfectly complete this fresh daytime look. You’re ready to go.

Screen Shot 2014-09-28 at 1.42.20 pm

Subtle Night Glow Make-up

Complexion

Prime your face with Translucent Make-up and apply Concealer to your lower and upper eye areas to hide any blemishes. Next, use a powder brush to evenly apply a mixture of Bronzing Powder and Translucent Face Powder compact , working downwards from your forehead.

Eyes

Apply Eyeshadow 09 Ivory to your entire upper eyelid, gently blending it towards your eyebrows. Next, apply Eyeshadow 04 Taupe to your eyelid crease, taking the colour to the upper edge of your eyelid at the corner of your eye. Now apply Black Liquid Eyeliner to your upper lashes, running it in a straight line to the corners of your eyes. Apply two coats of Volume Mascara Black , not forgetting your lower lashes in the evening.

Cheeks

Apply Rouge Powder 03 Rosé to your cheek bones and accentuate your lower cheek area with Bronzing Powder.

Lips

Apply a small amount of Lipstick 07 Transparent Rosé before pressing your lips together and filling in any remaining areas. Dab a little Lip Gloss 01 Rose onto the middle of your lips.
