How to Master Contouring and Highlighting in Easy Steps

You’ll need: Your existing Dr. Hauschka Foundation plus Dr. Hauschka Foundation 05 nutmeg, Concealer 01 pale sand, Rouge Powder and Translucent Powder in loose or compact to set.

About Dr. Hauschka Foundation

If you want less coverage, more like a tinted moisturiser, then mix Foundation with your Dr. Hauschka moisturiser. For mid coverage then use one ‘coat’ and you’ll fine ‘dries’.  If you want more coverage just apply a second ‘coat’ of Foundation after the first coat ‘dries’.

TIP: A foundation blending brush is a must for a professional foundation ‘air brushed’ application.

When contouring and highlighting think – darker areas recede and lighter areas highlight

Step 1: Start with your face cleansed, toned and moisturised.

Step 2: Apply your usual Foundation all over, remembering to include eye area.

Step 3: Apply Foundation 05 with fingertip as shown in the brown areas in the above pic, then with a slightly damp beauty blender press, in a press and roll movement, into the base foundation to blend.

To find the correct place for the cheeks, feel with your finger for the hollow under the cheekbone.

Step 4: Apply Concealer 01 as shown in the white areas in the above pic and then press and roll into the base foundation with the other side of the beauty blender.

Step 5: Apply Translucent Translucent Powder with a fluffy Powder Brush to set.

Step 6: Smile and apply Rouge Powder with a Rouge Brush to the ‘apples’ of your cheeks and blend up and outwards. Our favourite at the moment is Rose Duo limited edition.

Step 7: Do eye make-up and lips

Step 8: Close eyes and mist your face with Toner, to set complete make-up and to leave a dewy finish.

Melissa Day Cream is calming to any sensitivities, while helping your skin discover its natural balance. Medicinal herb melissa (lemon balm) mediates between dry and oily areas of a Combination Skin. Oily shine is controlled and dry patches are hydrated for a balanced and radiant complexion.

Melissa Day Cream is the ideal skin care product for sensitive combination skin with a tendency toward dryness, shine and redness.

Formulation: Extracts of melissa (lemon balm), daisy, anthyllis, witch hazel and provitamin A rich carrot, soothe and balance. Tapioca starch provides an even, matte appearance.

Combination Skin presents as:

• Oily in areas, usually the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) with dry or normal patches
• Fine pores and clear on cheeks, enlarged pores on T-zone
• May experience pimples in oily T-zone area
• May be uneven in skin tone with redness
• May be prone to pimples in oily areas
• Warmer months are likely to exacerbate a combination skin, whilst in the cooler months it may not be so problematic
• Longevity of make-up may be compromised in oily T-zone

Melissa Day Cream use: Warm around a large pea size of product between the palms of the hands and apply to skin still moist from Toner from the centre of the face, in an outwards direction. We always work in the direction of lymph flow.

TIP for an extra Oily T-Zone:
Apply 1-2 drops Clarifying Day Oil to the T-zone area, then follow with Melissa Day Cream. And yes, that’s right, an oil for an oily skin, like treats like.

Note: Harsh cleansing products that are overly alkaline, lathering and/or harsh exfoliants that ‘strip’ the skin, just result in the skin producing more oil to compensate.

Coverstick 01, 02, 03
Our incredible pimple treatment product Coverstick treats and conceals while working in a speedy manner. It contains just the right amount of Tea Tree and Manuka for their anti-bacterial properties, Tapioca Starch to absorb the ‘yucky stuff’, for want of a better word. The quicker a pimple is healed the less likelihood of lifelong scarring.
