Décolleté TLC

Many beautiful dresses and tops have a low cut that highlights the décolleté or shows off a beautiful necklace. If you have hips, a wide, deep neckline helps to balance your figure too.

So why do so many women completely forget to care for this area when it comes to their regular skin care routine?

Most likely in our busy lives, it’s just not top of mind.

The skin on the décolleté area is often more sensitive than skin on other parts of our body, it’s thinner, has less elasticity and there is little fat tissue. Consequently, this skin is more likely to show signs of ageing with dryness.

Extracts of moisture-balancing marsh mallow and birch leaves are combined with isoflavone-rich red clover in an exquisite composition that moisturises and regenerates. Eight plant oils, including coconut and argan replenish, field horsetail fortifies and helps firm for a visibly smoother appearance and includes ingredients that are rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants.

  • Visibly diminishing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines caused by dryness
  • Helps firm and refine skin texture and tone
  • Supports the skin’s natural processes of renewal
  • Rapidly absorbed formulation provides nourishing care
  • Rich yet gentle cream is suitable for even the most sensitive skin

Incorporate Regenerating Neck & Décolleté Day Cream into your morning skin ritual you’ll be seeing the benefits in no time at all!

Skin Condition: Dry Skin

Dry Skin Fix

Dryness and dehydration is a prime reason for premature wrinkles and lines so it’s imperative we protect our skin from this condition.

Daily Ritual
Morning:
Cleansing Cream
Facial Toner

Day Care Options:
1) If your skin is ‘parched’ dry we would recommend Moisturising Mask used as a day cream until condition improves.
2) Protective Blend: Moisturising Day Cream to activate the skin’s sebaceous activity and Rose Day Cream over the top to nourish and protect.
3) Antioxidant Blend: see information below. Rose Day Cream blended with a couple of drops of Normalising Day Oil.
3) Rose Day Cream
4) Regenerating Serum and Regenerating Day Cream is our usual recommendation for maturing skin support, however as Regenerating Neck & Décolleté Day Cream is more rich we would recommend to use on your face for a drier skin that still requires firming and toning.

Evening:
Cleansing Milk
Facial Toner
Regenerating Serum
if required for a maturing skin

Did you know?
That night cream use exacerbates a dry skin condition. Use our gentle cleansing products and give your skin 28-30 days (skin cell cycle) on an exclusively Dr. Hauschka regime and see the difference in the health and vitality of your skin.

Solution to dryness and dehydration?

Moisturising Mask is our ultimate skin fix, twice a week, cleanse early in the evening and apply the mask, around your eye contour too, and leave on to absorb all evening, removing with a moist, tepid cloth before bed.
If your skin is extremely dry you may also use Moisturising Mask as your ‘day cream’ for a month or until condition improves.
This blend of botanicals soothes, protects and revitalises while sealing in moisture, leaving skin feeling smooth and supple.

– Quince seed extract replenishes and helps dry skin to retain moisture.
– Nourishing almond, avocado, olive and jojoba oils hydrate the outer layer of skin
– Rose wax and organic shea butter soothe and protect.

The skin healers and antioxidants are Vitamins A, C and E, and the optimum choice when topically applying these vitamins is when they come in the form of the whole plant extract.
Rosehip for Vitamin C and Wheatgerm for Vitamin E, both found in Rose Day Cream formulation. Mix with a drop of two of Normalising Day Oil prior to application to skin still moist from Toner. That glorious orange colour comes from Wild Carrot Extract, a rich source of pro Vitamin A.

There you have it, a potent antioxidant blend!

Intensive Skin Care with Mask Blends:

Jose, our Esthetician Trainer, has a couple of tricks up her sleeve to keep skin looking fabulous. This first blend is so uplifting that when our UK Esthetician tried it she only did it on one half of her face. She promptly had to do the other half because of the difference it had made.

Firming & Moisturising Mask Blend

• Cleanse early in the evening
• Apply a generous amount of Regenerating Serum – also to eye contour area as an eye mask
• Then apply Moisturising Mask over the top – also to eye contour as an eye mask
• Leave to absorb all evening, removing just before bedtime

The other blend is for those of you that have red, irritated, flaky skin as well as dryness. You may still wish to use Regenerating Serum as well if you usually do.

Soothing & Moisturising Mask Blend
• Cleanse early in the evening
• Apply a generous amount of a mixture of Soothing Mask and Moisturising Mask – including eye contour area
• Leave to absorb all evening, removing just before bedtime

A dry skin needs help to achieve balance and we highly recommend a one month treatment with a nightly Rhythmic Night Conditioner ampoule instead of Toner.

Elisabeth Sigmund, co-founder of Dr. Hauschka Skin Care

WALA medicines; Wala Heilmittel GmbH

Elisabeth Sigmund (born on 25th October 1914 in Vienna, passed away peacefully in her home on the morning of 20th December 2013 at the age of 99) was the mother of Dr. Hauschka Skin Care. She was drawn to skin care very early on in life. After graduating from school in 1933 and studying medicine for two semesters in Vienna, she joined a cosmetics company in Vienna where she trained to become an esthetician. Between 1933 and 1939 she spent three months in Paris attending classes at a cosmetics laboratory and worked at a cosmetics salon in Vienna, partly as intern partly as paid employee.

However, she disagreed with the conventional treatment methods used there, such as facial massage, for example, and therefore decided to leave. Her journey to her own skin care and treatment had begun.

Elisabeth opened a Cosmetics Institute in Stockholm where she was producing regulating and balancing skin care on a larger scale and worked constantly on their improvement. It was during this time she discovered that oil free night care was integral in aiding the skin towards a balanced, strengthened and normalised state.

Between 1952 and 1955 Elisabeth Sigmund devoted herself almost entirely to skin care. After getting to know Dr. Vodder and his lymph drainage method in Copenhagen, she devised the technique of lymphatic stimulation. And she developed a set of facial exercises based on the method of the physician Dr. Drobil from Vienna.

In 1955 Elisabeth Sigmund visited WALA in Eckwälden, Southern Germany, for the first time, her interest having been stimulated by her husband’s very positive experience with WALA medicines in the treatment of a knee injury. After this visit Elisabeth asked WALA to send her substances with which she was able to develop her range of skin care further.

From 1961 to 1962 she went on an educational journey to India where she learnt much about neem, amongst other things.

WALA collaboration

In 1962 Dr. Rudolf Hauschka invited Elisabeth to collaborate with WALA and their medicinal knowledge to develop a skin care range based on entirely new, and still unique today, concepts. All developments were based on Elisabeth’s guiding principle: the activation of the skin’s own healthy function.

Elisabeth also developed the Dr. Hauschka Facial Treatment

In 1969 Elisabeth moved to Germany and from then onwards shared her extensive knowledge and played a role in the creation of many products. Elisabeth remained a valued consultant for all matters relating to Dr. Hauschka Skin Care and Dr. Hauschka Facial Treatments until shortly before her passing.

Throughout her life Elisabeth had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and conducted extensive independent studies into cosmetically active medicinal plants. She consistently used her findings to develop her skin care products.

We commemorate her life’s work with the utmost respect and appreciation. Her curiosity, energy and knowledge will remain inspirational always.
